Aero Triangulation

Luminous ETS utilizes a highly automated aero triangulation approach that minimizes operator intervention and promotes high quality. Luminous ETS' methodology combines point selection, point measurement, point transfer and block adjustment in a single & seamless process.

Luminous ETS can take on any job, irrespective of size and complexity. These figures can zoom according to the magnitude of the project which is supported by scalable resources. We use rigorous standardized procedures using the latest software from LEICA & project management techniques for consistent quality. The client is provided with a detailed triangulation report with error analysis and summary of results.

Planimetric Feature Extraction

With speed and consistency inbred to our data processing, Luminous ETS produces accurate and aesthetically pleasing planimetric and topographic data that can meet the specifications of any GIS. Our experience ranges from stereo data compilation, 2D map feature collection and high quality contours (Both Interpolated and Manually collected). In addition to new map compilation, Luminous ETS also performs updates using existing data.

Luminous ETS' quality control process uses automated rules that define editing steps so that operator intervention is restricted to exceptional errors. Therefore, Luminous ETS is equipped to handle very large projects effectively, without impacting smaller assignments.

DTM Extraction

Luminous ETS creates highly detailed Digital Terrain Models (DTMs) for contour generation, orthophoto rectification, flood plain mapping and digital elevation models (DEMs) for specialized applications such as 3D modeling, volumetric calculations, and powerline as-built surveys.

Luminous ETS is quite adept at handling a wide variety of data for DTM/DEM generation, be it mountainous, hilly, flat, urban, or rural/farmlands. The amount of detail to be collected is dictated by the scale of the final map and specific project requirements. Breakline features with supplemental random mass points are collected to maintain mapping accuracy.

Our optional automatic procedure extracts DTM points from digital aerial and satellite stereo pair images generating a large number of DTM points by going through a pyramidal data structure and robust DTM modeling. We use sophisticated post-processing tools and methods to detect errors and anomalies in DTM and to generate clean contours, TIN or other deliverables. The final delivery is in a client specific format.

Digital Orthophoto Rectification

Luminous ETS applies the most appropriate technology to produce the most comprehensive and content-rich imagery.

We understand the nuances of digital orthophoto production, involving tone balancing of color images and creation of seamless mosaics from large volumes of digital data. Techniques used by LUMINOUS ETS for automatic fusion and tone balancing reduce the overall processing time. Many projects require operator review of the terrain information. This can be easily accommodated through stereo superimposition of the surface data on stereo imagery of the project area. For difficult or problematic areas, DTM is improved and dense processing is used to avoid feature shift, for example near bridges, overpasses or tall buildings. Each batch of orthophoto images is checked for tone, geometric anomalies, accuracy and feature edge matching at seams. Satellite Image Processing - With increasing resolution, lower cost and easy availability, satellite data is becoming a popular choice for medium scale mapping projects. We have substantial technical resources with extensive knowledge and experience to handle remote sensing data. Luminous ETS has carried out many projects handling high-resolution satellite images for mapping.
